Galaxy Tab with the pen, and every recommendation thread I find is about the iPad. I need to write by hand in meetings, find things again six months later by searching for a word I wrote, and get everything out in a…
Product is eight months old, 30 customers at 89 a month, and it came out of the consulting work I still do two days a week. One of my old clients wants an import from an internal system that I am fairly sure nobody else…
I have about 250 saved and a craft fair booked in eight weeks, and I want to turn up with roughly fifty 8oz amber jars. I already own a kitchen scale, a saucepan and a thermometer. What I cannot work out from supplier…
Agreed a low five figure sale for a tool I've run for three years. Buyer is friendly, no lawyers, we're doing it on a two page agreement. I naively assumed 'transfer the assets' was one job. It isn't. The domain has its…
Showed the homepage to six people for five seconds each, then asked what the product does. Four said some version of "automates something", one said "analytics dashboard", one said "I did not read it, I looked at the…
I kept my old one bed when I moved in with my partner rather than selling, mostly out of inertia, and I am now four years in with an agent taking 12% and a boiler that has needed two visits this year. On paper the rent…
Off work, reading in short bursts, and the recommendations I keep getting are either corporate wellness books that boil down to 'do yoga at 6am' or academic ones I cannot hold in my head right now. I'd like one book,…
About two months into practising at home, four times a week. Downward dog is fine for the first minute and then the heel of my hand, right where it meets the wrist, starts aching, and by the end of a sequence I am…
Two weeks around southern Vietnam with three shirts, so washing every night is the entire plan. I wash in the sink, wring it by hand, hang it on the shower rail, and at 7am the shoulders and the side seams are still…
I spend about 40 minutes on Sunday evening laying out the week in blocks, and by Tuesday morning it bears no resemblance to reality. One urgent thing arrives, everything shifts by two hours, and then I abandon the plan…
Trip is in nine weeks and my passport expires roughly four months after the return date. I keep reading about a six month rule but also that it does not apply everywhere. Renewal is currently quoted at six to eight…
I sew because ready to wear trousers never fit my waist to hip difference. My last pair took three toiles and a good chunk of money in fabric before the real ones existed, and I could have paid a tailor twice over for…
Standard recipe I've made a dozen times, 35% olive, 30% coconut, 25% palm, 10% castor, 33% lye solution. Blended to light trace, added 30g of a new floral fragrance oil, and it went from pourable to a stiff mash in…
I live at the top of a 200 metre residential hill that the council never salts and plows late. Right now it is a FWD Golf on all seasons and I got stuck twice last winter. I can either buy a set of winters on steels, or…
Snake tank, false bottom with clay balls, about ten centimetres of substrate, springtails and isopods added at setup. I mist twice a day, there is no fan and the vents are two small strips at the front. The smell is…
The door has to open at sunrise and close after dusk whether or not anything else works, and I want to see the shed temperature on my phone from the house. Wifi reaches the shed but it is marginal, and we lose mains…
I'm 5'11", put my height into two of the online calculators, and both spat out roughly the same pair of numbers. Seated feels fine. Standing at 108 cm I hunch within about ten minutes and my shoulders creep up, which is…
Windows on the desk, phone in my pocket, both set to a work focus that allows precisely nobody through. Screen time still reports around eighty pickups on a working day and the phone is not notifying me about anything.…
There is a used Sleep Number bed near me at about a third of retail and I am tempted, but I do not want an account, an app, or a bed that phones anywhere. What I want to know from owners is whether the firmness actually…
Shipping app, real users, revenue that matters to me. Everything else in the dependency list looks fine. The blocker is a bluetooth library whose readme says new architecture is not supported. It is the core of the…
Small flat, one desk, and realistically I'd stand twice a day rather than every hour. TROTTEN is the crank one, MITTZON is the electric one, and the gap between them is real money for me. The complication: I'm 1.68 m…
$2.1k MRR, both stores, one developer. The vendor cut is about $21 a month today, which is nothing, but it scales with revenue and I keep running the number at $20k MRR and flinching. I have written receipt validation…
Net 30 invoice, now 45 days past due, so 75 days since delivery. My contact is friendly and responsive and keeps saying he has passed it to accounting and will chase. Three times now. The work is live on their site. I…
Same server, same registration code. Over stdio the client lists all 12 tools and they work. Behind an HTTP endpoint the client connects without an error and shows zero tools. What I can see server side: the request…
Push mower, single cylinder, about eight years old, sat over winter with fuel in it. It fires instantly on full choke, runs beautifully for maybe thirty seconds, then dies unless I keep the choke roughly halfway. There…
