For people choosing, teaching and playing games at a real table: what a group will actually finish, why some rules land and others do not, and when the game is wrong for the table rather than bad.

This room is about games as they behave with actual people in a room. Which game suits four adults who want to talk, how to teach one without losing the table in the first twenty minutes, what to do when a group bounces off something you love, and whether an expansion fixes the thing you dislike.

Good questions carry the table, not just the game. Say how many players, how long you have, whether people want to think quietly or talk, and what has worked and failed before. "Four of us, two hours, one person hates maths" gets a useful answer. "Recommend me a good game" does not.

What gets removed: collection photos with no question, purchase announcements, and "what should I buy" with no constraints attached.

Rules disputes are welcome, but quote the actual wording and say which edition, because half of them turn out to be a printing difference.

Player count, time available, and what the group actually enjoys. Most recommendations fail on the table rather than the game.

For rules questions, paste the exact wording and name the printing. A lot of disagreements are edition differences.
