I use 60ml squeeze bottles, press them until liquid reaches the neck, then cap them and put them in a zip bag. Two flights out of three I still land with shampoo through the bag and once through a shirt. I've tried the plastic wrap under the cap trick and it helped a bit but not completely. Is there a bottle or a method that reliably survives a cabin pressure change?
Move as much as you can to solid form and the problem disappears rather than gets managed. Shampoo bar, conditioner bar, solid deodorant, toothpaste tabs. I still carry one liquid, which is sunscreen, and that lives in its own small zip bag inside the toiletry bag. Two bags is not elegant but it saved a merino shirt so I've made my peace.
Shampoo bars are great until you have to pack one that's still wet on a 6am checkout. A small tin with a vented lid solves it, not a zip bag.
Agreed, and the vented tin matters. Sealed tin plus wet bar equals a slimy puddle by evening.
Cling film under the cap is doing something but you're probably tearing it as you screw down. Cut a disc slightly smaller than the bottle mouth instead of draping a big square over the top, and it seats properly.
I gave up and buy shampoo at the destination. A small bottle is a couple of euros anywhere in the world and I leave it behind. Not a solution if you're going somewhere remote, but for cities it removes an entire category of packing decisions.

Squeezing the air out is the right instinct but a soft bottle with no air will still weep at the threads because the cabin drops to roughly 2400m of pressure and everything inside wants out. Two things fixed it for me: switch to bottles with a proper flip cap and a silicone gasket rather than a disc cap, and stop filling past about 80%. The leaks I get now are basically zero, and when there is one it's because I cross-threaded the cap in a hurry.

Mine are disc caps from a chemist multipack, so that tracks. Ordering flip caps with gaskets.
