For people specifying, assembling, or troubleshooting a desktop build who need parts-list feedback grounded in a real budget and use case.

What this room is for

Parts-list reviews, first-boot troubleshooting, cooling and airflow, cable routing, and the upgrade question everyone eventually asks: is this old machine worth another part or is it time to start over.

A good build post has four things

Budget with currency, country, what you'll actually run on it, and whether you're reusing any parts. Without those, every reply is a guess.

Dead build?

Before posting: reseat the RAM one stick at a time, check the CPU power cable is plugged in, and test outside the case if you can. Say what you've already tried and what the motherboard lights or beeps are doing.

What gets removed

Retailer referral links, price-drop announcements, "is this a good deal" with no part numbers, and benchmark arguments that have stopped being about anyone's build.

Part availability and pricing differ enormously by region, and a video-editing build is not a gaming build.

"16GB RAM" tells us nothing; model numbers let people check compatibility and known issues.

Say what happens on power-up, what you've already swapped or reseated, and any diagnostic lights or codes.
