About forty hours of lessons, manoeuvres are fine, roundabouts turn me into a passenger. I have one attempt before a job start date that requires me to drive, so a retest in eight weeks would be a genuine problem. I am less interested in general nerves advice and more in the specific things examiners mark that learners do not see coming.
The faults that end tests are boringly consistent and mostly about observation rather than car control. Not looking properly at junctions is the classic, followed by mirrors not being checked before signalling or changing speed, and then undue hesitation, which is the one that catches nervous but competent drivers. Roundabouts combine all three, so what your instructor should be drilling is the mirror and shoulder check sequence rather than the roundabout itself. If you can narrate your observations out loud on approach without thinking, the hesitation problem usually disappears with it.
It feels ridiculous for about a week and then it is automatic. Examiners can see where your eyes go, that is most of what they are watching.

Two structural things worth knowing. Roughly half of candidates pass, so failing is not a verdict on you, it is the base rate, and treating it as a coin flip you can load in your favour helps more than confidence talk. Also the marking distinguishes minor faults, which accumulate, from a single serious or dangerous one that ends it, which means the strategy is not perfection, it is never doing one big thing. Book at least two mock tests with your instructor, ideally on the routes near the test centre, because familiarity removes a whole category of surprise.

Slight disagreement with obsessing over the test centre routes. I learned the routes, got a road I had never seen, and it rattled me more than an unfamiliar route would have because I had trained myself to expect recognition. What actually moved my performance was the time of day and being properly slept: my first attempt was at 4pm after a full day at work and my second was mid morning, same skill level, completely different drive.

I failed a serious for stalling on a hill start and rolling back into the space behind me, which was entirely avoidable and happened because I had practised hill starts on one hill for a month. What it cost me was the fee and a seven week wait for the next slot, which in your position is the actual risk. Practise the awkward stuff in different places, not the same place repeatedly.
