Singapore, oily and mildly acne-prone, and every sunscreen I've tried is either a white cast or a grease film within three hours. I've ruled out the heavy mineral formulas already because they pill under everything I put on top. Budget is around S$35 and I'd happily reapply midday if I could find something that layers without rolling off in sheets.
For midday reapplication over a shine, powder SPF gets recommended constantly and I'd push back on it hard. You cannot realistically get anything near a lab-equivalent layer out of a brush. I use a stick over the high points instead, which at least puts real product on the skin even if the coverage isn't perfect.
Blotting paper first, then reapply. Putting sunscreen on top of an existing oil layer is exactly why it rolls off in those little pills. Twenty seconds with a blotting sheet and mine sits properly for the rest of the afternoon.
Acne-prone is doing a lot of work in your question, and non-comedogenic on a bottle is not a regulated claim anywhere I know of. I worked out which ingredient was breaking me out by patch-testing on my jaw for two weeks at a time, which is slow and boring. A dermatologist would have got me there considerably faster.
Storage matters more in humidity than people expect. Leaving the bottle in a hot bag all day permanently changes the texture of some emulsions, and then you blame the formula.

Two things separate the ones that survive humidity: an alcohol-containing formula that flashes off, and a finish described as matte rather than dewy. The trade-off is that alcohol formulas sting if your barrier is compromised, so if you're using anything actives-heavy at night that's a real cost rather than a theoretical one.
