Do you actually reapply every two hours on a normal office day, or is that theatre? Face

I apply in the morning and then never again, and I keep reading that this makes the morning application close to pointless. I'm indoors nine to six with a 15-minute walk at lunch. I want to know what people with reasonable habits actually do rather than what the label says. Not looking for a lecture, looking for a realistic pattern I can keep for years.

I did the honest thing and stopped pretending. Morning application, a stick in the bag for lunch walks, nothing else. Trying to run the full protocol made me skip entirely on busy days, which was strictly worse than the compromise.

The two-hour rule comes from the water-resistance and rub-off assumptions baked into the testing protocol, not from the filters expiring on your face. Sitting still indoors you are not removing much product. I reapply before going outside rather than on a timer, and that's the version almost everyone I know eventually settles into.

"Reapply before exposure, not on a clock" is a rule I can actually keep. The timer version has never survived a busy week.

Slight disagreement with "you're not removing much". You touch your face, you wipe with a sleeve, you sweat on the train. It's not nothing. But it's also not two hours of decay, and building your whole routine around the strictest possible reading is exactly how people burn out and quit.

Fair, I overstated it. "Less than the label implies" rather than "none".

The sneaky one is the drive home. A west-facing windscreen in summer puts more UVA on one side of your face than the entire office day did, and nobody reapplies for a commute.

It's a real and well-documented effect, and it's the one thing that actually changed my habits rather than my opinions.

New to this and reassured by the whole thread. I assumed everyone else was running the full ritual and I was the only one quietly failing at it.
