Delhi, on a two-wheeler for 40 minutes each way, so I'm getting real sun on my face and forearms five days a week. Everything I've tried at the pharmacy either leaves me grey in photos or slides into my eyes when I sweat. My ceiling is 800 rupees a bottle and at proper quantities I'd go through one a month. Already ruled out the tinted versions, none of them match me.
At 800 rupees you have real options now that didn't exist five years ago, because the domestic derm-brand lines have caught up considerably on texture. The thing I'd check on the box is whether there's any UVA rating at all, because plenty of products sold locally are much stronger on UVB than on UVA.
White cast is mostly a mineral-filter thing. If the ingredient list leads with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide at high percentages you will look grey in photographs, regardless of what the marketing says about micronised particles.
The cheapest fix for a two-wheeler commute isn't a bottle, it's a full-face visor and a light long-sleeve. I still wear sunscreen but I'm relying on it for much less, and my monthly spend dropped as a side effect.
Same, plus cotton sleeves that pull over the forearms. A few hundred rupees and they don't sweat off at a traffic light.
Sleeves ordered. Obvious in hindsight and I've spent two summers not thinking of it.
Whatever you land on, keep a second bottle at the office. The reapplication you'll actually do is the one where the bottle is already sitting on your desk.

Two-wheeler commuting is a different problem from office sunscreen. You want a water-resistant claim and a gel-cream texture rather than a lotion, because you're fighting sweat and wind at once. The eye-sting is almost always the emulsifier, and swapping formula fixed it for me far faster than trying to apply more carefully did.
