Leaked GTA 6 map names 5 Leonida counties
The map image that came out this week is the least cinematic thing leaked and probably the most informative, because it carries labels.
Five counties are named on it: Vice Dale, Mariana, Kelly, Leonard and Lummox. Around them the image shows marshland, mountains, a scatter of smaller islands, and an airport sitting on its own island well to the south.
County names matter more than they sound. Leonida was already confirmed as the state, but a state split into named counties is a structural claim about how the world is organised: it implies distinct regions with their own character rather than one city plus a countryside ring, which is roughly what the last one was.
The honest caveats. This is a low detail menu map, pieced together, which is why the coastlines look approximate. It is from a build of unknown age, so names can change and layouts can be cut. And a label on a menu tells you a place exists, not how much of it you can go into.
Still, five named counties and an offshore airport is more concrete geography than three years of trailers gave us.

The offshore airport is the detail worth staring at. Putting the main air hub on an island to the south is not a decoration, it forces every flight to start and end over water.
It also means the southern islands are not filler. You do not route the airport through dead space.

Or it is a second airport and the main one is on the mainland where you would expect. One low res image is not an inventory.

Fair, that is the more boring reading and it is probably right. I got ahead of the evidence there.
