Probably the healthier arrangement. Templates were never going to fund a team maintaining something installed over 110 million times a week, and NativeWind only needs the MIT part.

Separate two arguments. One team I contracted for left React Native well before agents, because of painful upgrades and uneven native modules. That case never needed AI. If your upgrades are fine, the Shopify post gives you no new reason to move.
