Flush when you change ink and you will never need a schedule. The bottle running out is the natural interval.

Seconding that the ink decides the schedule, with the extreme case: some traditional inks are actively corrosive if left sitting, and a pen inked with one and forgotten for a month is a repair rather than a clean.

If everything in your rotation is an ordinary modern ink, you have far more slack than the internet suggests.
