Wireless bridging does not work the way people expect and it is worth checking before spending an evening on it.

Graphical settings will not do bridges. That is not an oversight, it is out of scope for them.
Test the config with the apply-and-revert option before committing it. That is what it is for.
Locked myself out twice before learning the discipline: never apply a network change without a way back that does not depend on the network.
On a machine with a screen that means being physically at it. On a remote box it means a scheduled revert that runs in ten minutes unless you cancel it, or a console through the provider. Bridge configuration reassigns the interface you are connected through, so a mistake is not a slow failure, it is instant and total.
