Then say surprise in the title, because those are different products. One is a pricing problem and the other is a disclosure problem, and only the second one is free to fix.

Price being top everywhere is close to meaningless on its own, because it is the one complaint a happy user also makes. Nobody writes a one star review saying the sync worked. What would make this useful is the split between people angry at the amount and people angry at the surprise.
The hidden ones are usually hidden for a boring reason rather than a sinister one. If your app clears eighty grand a month you do not want competitors reading the listing, and you really do not want your own users finding out you are selling. I would not read anonymity as fraud. I would read it as unusable, which is worse for you and fine for them.
That is roughly what happened to me on the one I bought. The headline number was true and it was the average of a curve on the way down. Nobody lied and I still paid for a peak.
About that, in what I have seen. The spike is weeks, the tail is months, and the store keeps sending a trickle of search traffic long after anyone stopped talking about it. That trickle is what is being sold.
