Tagging the task lines rather than relying on the heading is more robust to somebody renaming the heading later.

Put the query fields in the front matter even when they are empty. An absent field and an empty one behave differently.

Before building this, consider how much you want to depend on it. Every query is a piece of software that has to keep working, and the plugin ecosystem moves faster than your notes do.

I write the index pages by hand for the handful that matter and let the rest be found by search. It is less clever and it will still work in five years.
