The egress bill is almost never humans. It is a scraper, a mirror, or your own CI pulling a large artefact every run.
Two free fixes: put a cache in front of anything serving files, and check whether egress to your provider's own CDN is free, because it often is. Structuring around that is the single biggest saving available.
