Five years of cards in one app: what to do about the day it stops being maintained

Worth being clear that losing the intervals is not as catastrophic as it sounds.

I moved once and reset everything to new. It cost about six weeks of heavier reviews and then the scheduler had rebuilt a sensible picture, because the algorithm learns from your answers rather than needing the archive. The cards were the irreplaceable part and they came across fine.

So the honest priority is: protect the cards obsessively, treat the history as nice to have.
