Four systems here too, and the thing that finally ended it was noticing what the reorganisations had in common: every one of them was done on a weekend when I had no notes to write.

Reorganising is what note-taking looks like when you have nothing to say. It feels like maintenance and it is avoidance, and no structure fixes that because structure was never the problem.
