True, and I was collapsing them. Latency is upstream, sensitivity is yours. Only one of those is a product decision.

The two complaints are the same complaint. Every alerting system has one dial between missing events and crying wolf, and both sets of reviewers are shouting at whoever set that dial. Nobody can set it correctly for everyone, which is why the answer is to hand it over. This is very well understood in ops and apparently not at all in consumer apps.
