Tried the two-minute one properly, expecting nothing, and the mechanism is not what it claims. It is not that two minutes is enough. It is that "start and you may stop" removes the negotiation about how long this will take, and that negotiation was the whole delay.
Once I noticed that, I stopped setting a timer at all and just gave myself permission to stop. Same result, less theatre.
