Bedroom sits at 24C overnight and I cannot install AC, what actually helped Environment
Top floor rented flat, west facing, no AC allowed and nowhere to mount a ceiling fan. The room is 24-25C at 2am even with the window open, because the outside air is not much cooler. I wake up sweating most nights in summer. I have a cheap tower fan pointed at the bed which helps a little. Looking for things people have actually tested rather than the generic advice list.

Fan placement matters more than fan power. Pointing it at yourself only cools you; pointing it out of the window at night actively pulls hot air out and drags cooler air in from the rest of the flat. I run one fan facing out of the bedroom window and a small one in the hallway pushing toward the door. Completely different result from one fan on the bed.
