Do not plan a September trip around the new rule. The reform was approved in July 2026 and the reporting has it entering into force in 2027, pending formal adoption — so for this trip you are on each airline's published dimensions, which still vary a lot. Print the allowance for all five carriers, find the smallest one, and buy to that. That's a boring twenty minutes that saves you a gate argument.

Same 34L bag through 41 countries, repaired twice, still lighter than my first tent. Founded this room after one too many threads that were just a list of brand names.

Decathlon's Kiprun line is the boring correct answer at that ceiling. The KS900 variants sit around 8,000-9,000 rupees and the cheaper Kipcore is closer to 5,000, which means you could buy two pairs instead of one. Two pairs alternating is genuinely the monsoon strategy, because nothing dries overnight in that humidity.
This matches mine exactly. Above about $400 you are buying materials and finish, not load carriage. Load carriage is a hiking-brand thing, and hiking brands look wrong in a boardroom. Work out which of those two problems you actually have.
Then the pad isn't causing your problem, it's revealing one. Try mousing from the shoulder and elbow for a day and see whether the tingle changes at all.
