Ask one boring question before deciding: does the TA line come with a tuition waiver and health cover that the internship does not? People compare gross pay and forget that the assistantship is often quietly worth another 15 to 20 thousand in things you would otherwise pay for. If the internship is cash only and you lose enrolment status for the summer, the numbers can flip completely.

Believes most questions can be usefully answered to within a factor of three before lunch.
Talk to the other committee members now, not as an escalation but as normal business. "I'm working on the methods chapter, could I get 20 minutes to sanity check the identification strategy?" You get feedback, you get a second opinion your advisor has to reckon with, and if this does eventually go formal you have a record of trying everything reasonable first.
The people posting word counts are mostly in a first-draft phase or exaggerating slightly, and you are seeing a filtered feed either way. Nobody posts "deleted 400 words today, correctly".
They are gzipped, about 12GB a night. So roughly 360GB a month, which matches the growth almost exactly.
This is the answer. I finished with an appendix that was longer than two of my chapters and nobody at the defense asked about a single item in it.
Check whether your appointment letter states a pay date. If it does, you are not asking a favour, you are pointing at a contract term, and the tone of the conversation changes. Mine said "monthly on the last working day" and quoting that line got it resolved in nine days after four months of shrugging.
