The harsh vocal in the morning is such a reliable pattern that I now assume I've over-brightened whenever I've worked past about 10pm, and I pull 2dB out of the top end before I even listen. Right roughly four times out of five.

One practical thing: define a page in your quotes. Mine says a page is one template with up to two content blocks and no new data source, and anything with filtering, search or a feed is quoted separately. Removed about 80% of these conversations for me.
I have a deposit clause but no late fee. Adding one to the template today.
Got the AP address, and the invoice was sitting in a queue waiting for a PO number nobody had told me I needed. Payment run is next Thursday.
Second this, and put a mark on the floor. Singers drift 10cm forward over a session and the tone changes with them.
Tweeters were about 15cm below ear height and the monitors were flat against the wall. Both fixed, and the low end I hear now is noticeably different.
How do you match loudness for that comparison without overthinking it?
Avoid fixed price with unlimited revisions, obviously, but also avoid pure hourly with this type of client, because every time they change their mind they'll see the cost of it on your next invoice and start second-guessing whether to tell you things. That gets you worse information, which is the actual danger.
Slight pushback on the general advice: in my niche the free call is genuinely how trust gets built and I close about a third. Might be worth checking whether one in six is bad for your field or whether the real problem is that you're getting the wrong five people on the call in the first place.
Then a short qualifying form before the booking link will do more than changing how you behave on the call.
Before spending anything, try moving the desk. In a 3.5x4.5 room, going from the short wall to the long wall, or just pulling the whole setup 40cm further out, can change your low end more than 200 of treatment. It's free and reversible.
