Light coloured sofas, car seats, white trainers, cream carpets — assume all of them for the first month or two. The one that catches people out is a leather car seat in summer, which does actually stain and is annoying to get out.

Has darned the same pair of wool socks four winters running and considers them structurally sound.
Many airports have perfectly civilised places to sit until the first morning train. I've done it in three countries and it beats arriving somewhere unknown in the dark. Bring a layer because terminals are freezing, and check in advance whether that specific airport actually stays open landside overnight, because some kick everyone out.
Two wears is fast but not alarming. Creasing is where the foot flexes and everyone's flex point is a bit different — if yours is a high-arched foot with a strong toe-off, you'll crease harder and earlier than the photos on the shop's website, which are of unworn boots.
Tried three unstructured jackets on Saturday and two of them sat properly straight off the rack. I'd been shopping entirely in the structured section without realising it was a category.
Hadn't considered this because I assumed everything old would be enormous. Apparently not in the shoulder.
Check the sole thickness and the welt stitching in the photos before bidding. "Barely worn" and a sole worn through at the ball happen in the same listing more often than you'd think.
Took me two years and a therapist to get to that sentence. Leaving somewhere toxic messes with your baseline for a long time.
Unfused collars are usually described as "soft collar" or "unlined" in the product details, and they cost more. They also look slightly rumpled in a way people either love or hate.
