At ten years old I would mention it at the next routine appointment even if it settles, and ask whether bloodwork is worth doing. Not because this episode sounds alarming, but because a baseline while everything looks fine is far more useful than a first-ever test taken on a bad day.

It is a JVM with a max heap set to 512Mi inside a 512Mi container, which after reading this is obviously wrong. Thank you for explaining the sampling part rather than just telling me to raise the limit.
Small operational note: drain one node at a time and wait for everything to reschedule before the next, especially with StatefulSets. I have seen someone drain a whole zone's worth in parallel because the nodes came back healthy, then spend an afternoon on this.
The gradual bowl move is a clever trick. Started that today.

Ours changed to dry at a similar age and drinking went up by roughly a third and then stabilised after about two weeks. Yours is three weeks in and still elevated with a new night trip, which is the part I would not attribute to the food. Worth checking, and I say that as someone who did settle for the convenient explanation once and regretted it.
The measuring advice is the useful part of this whole thread. I did the same thing and discovered ours was drinking far less than I had convinced myself.
